Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how OneStack Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the CoreBleKit SDK and Apps for iOS and Android (the “Apps” and, where applicable, the “SDK”). CoreBleKit helps you discover, identify, and interact with nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.
1. Summary
- We do not require you to create an account to use the Apps.
- Bluetooth scan results and saved devices are processed primarily on your device.
- The Apps may show ads via Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers as described by Google.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use the Apps, the following may be stored locally:
- Bluetooth scan results — device identifiers (as exposed by the OS), advertised names, RSSI, manufacturer data, and service UUIDs observed during scanning.
- Saved / bookmarked devices — identifiers and display names you choose to save.
- App preferences — settings such as filters, theme, scanner timeout, and similar options.
- Optional local logs — diagnostic or monitor logs you generate and choose to share.
This information generally remains on your device unless you export, share, or copy it yourself (for example via the system share sheet).
2.2 Permissions
The Apps may request:
- Bluetooth — to scan for and connect to nearby BLE devices.
- Location (where required by the OS) — Android may require location permission for BLE scanning; the Apps use this to enable scanning, not to track your precise location history.
- Nearby devices (Android 12+) — for Bluetooth scanning/connecting.
2.3 Advertising
The Apps may display advertisements through Google AdMob and related Google advertising services. Google and its partners may collect or receive information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Where required, the Apps present a consent experience (for example via Google’s User Messaging Platform).
2.4 Analytics and crash data
If enabled in a given build, limited diagnostics or analytics (for example crash reports) may be collected to improve stability. Such data is used only for app quality and is not used to sell personal information.
3. How we use information
- Provide BLE scanning, filtering, connection, and device detail features
- Remember your saved devices and preferences
- Show ads and measure ad performance (via advertising partners)
- Improve reliability and user experience of the CoreBleKit SDK and Apps
- Comply with legal obligations and store policies
4. Sharing
We may share information only as needed with:
- Service providers such as Google (AdMob / ads / consent)
- Authorities when required by law
- You, when you explicitly share exported content
We do not sell personal information.
5. Data retention
Local scan results and preferences remain on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the Apps, or delete saved items. Advertising partners retain data according to their own policies.
6. Children’s privacy
The Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
- Revoke Bluetooth/location permissions in system settings
- Reset or limit your advertising identifier in system settings
- Use in-app ads privacy options where required and available
- Delete saved devices or uninstall the Apps to remove local data
8. International users
If you use the Apps outside your country of residence, information processed by advertising or platform partners may be handled in other countries subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
9. Changes
OneStack Labs may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Continued use of the CoreBleKit SDK and Apps after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
