Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CoreBleKit SDK and Apps for iOS and Android (the “Apps” and, where applicable, the “SDK”), provided by OneStack Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Apps or SDK, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. The project
CoreBleKit is a project of OneStack Labs that provides an SDK and companion apps to scan for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, view advertisement details, estimate proximity using signal strength, save devices, and optionally connect for GATT exploration. Features may vary by platform and device.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, OneStack Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Apps and SDK for personal or internal business purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with App Store / Google Play rules and any applicable SDK license.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Apps or SDK except as allowed by law or a separate written license
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where mandatory law permits
- Remove proprietary notices
- Use the Apps or SDK to violate any law, third-party right, or device/network policy
3. Bluetooth and device interaction
- You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding radio devices and wireless scanning.
- Connecting to or writing data to third-party hardware may alter that hardware’s state. Use caution.
- We do not guarantee compatibility with every Bluetooth device, beacon, accessory, or OS version.
- Signal strength (RSSI) distance estimates are approximate and not suitable for safety-critical navigation.
4. Ads and third-party services
The Apps may display advertisements and use third-party services (including Google AdMob). Your use of those services may be subject to third-party terms and privacy policies. OneStack Labs is not responsible for third-party content or practices.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in connection with the CoreBleKit SDK and Apps. By using them, you acknowledge that policy.
6. No warranty
THE APPS AND SDK ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. OneStack Labs does not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONESTACK LABS AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPS OR SDK, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APPS OR SDK SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THEM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
8. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify OneStack Labs and its contributors from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Apps or SDK or violation of these Terms.
9. Changes and termination
OneStack Labs may update the Apps, SDK, or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or stop providing features without notice. You may stop using the Apps at any time by uninstalling them.
10. App stores
If you obtained the Apps from Apple App Store or Google Play, you also must comply with that store’s terms. Those store operators are third-party beneficiaries of applicable license provisions but are not parties to these Terms between you and OneStack Labs, except as required by platform rules.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your primary place of residence or, where permitted, the laws of the jurisdiction in which OneStack Labs offers CoreBleKit, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections remain available.
